Reply to a brand deal offer

Paste the brand’s email. See what they asked for, what to charge for it, what the offer leaves out — and copy a reply to accept, counter or decline.

The email is read once to fill the form and is not stored.

How it works

The email is read once by a fast model into the form: deliverables, fee, exclusivity, usage, payment terms. Each item shows the words it came from; an item whose words are not in the email is dropped. The email is not stored. If the reader is busy, fill in the form yourself — everything else works the same.

Your quote comes from the same rate engine as the rate calculator: the ask is the typical low end for your views and niche, the floor is the least IU would take. Exclusivity adds 20% (14 days) or 40% (30 days). The gaps are checked against the six Fair Deal terms — paid within 30 days, 50% up front over $1,000, usage with an end date, two rounds of edits, paid exclusivity, a kill fee. If you add the sender’s address, the domain goes through the same check as Is this brand real?

Questions

How do I counter a low brand offer?

Thank them, state your rate for exactly what they asked for, and say what it includes — two rounds of edits and organic posting — so the number reads as a package, not a demand. Do not apologise for it. If they cannot pay it, offer a smaller deliverable at your rate rather than the same work for less.

What should I ask before quoting?

What exactly they want (format, length, how many), whether they will run it as ads or from your account, how long they can use it, whether you must avoid competitors and for how long, when they pay, and what happens if they cancel. Every one of these changes the price.

How do I price usage rights and whitelisting?

Organic posting on your channel is in your fee. Ads, boosting and whitelisting are a licence on top, with an end date. IU has not set a standard percentage for them, so use your own — the usage-rights calculator adds them up.

Should I answer “what’s your rate?” with a number?

Yes — a clear number with what it includes gets more yeses than “what’s your budget?”, and it anchors the talk on your terms. Quote a range only if you do not yet know the deliverables.

Does a model write my reply?

No. A model only reads the brand’s email into the form, and every item has to quote the email or it is left out. Your quote and the three replies are built from IU’s published rate engine and the Fair Deal terms, filled with your numbers. You can change any field before copying.
